Hi all,

Now you've recovered after my long absence posting, I want to share something with you.

As a permanent wheelchair user, I have very poor circulation in my legs. So bad is it, I get blood pooling in my feet because the veins have 'forgotten' how to pump the blood back up! I also have red blotches (looks like 'fireside tartan') from my lower calf to my ankle on both legs (this is Varicose Eczema). I recently bought a circulation booster from High Tech Health). This gizmo is a round disk with moulds for you to place your feet on. Switched on, the booster goes through a program of electric stimulus to the lower leg muscles which in turn activate the venal process. I've found that my feet are losing the permanent blue tinge and constant cold feeling. The booster is expensive (although that's relative) at £199 but like me, you may be able to register for VAT relief. That brings the price down to £169! I have just received my VAT refund and a £20 off voucher. If anyone is thinking of buying one of these gizmos (they are advertised on TV and in the newspapers), I would be pleased to send you the Voucher.

Find out about this Gizmo and see if it's for you.

Hi again Bob

I've had a look at this and it seems to work in the same sort of way as my "plates" machine. I put my feet on it and it vibrates at a heck of a rate of knots and has the same effect on my circulation.

I too have very bad circulation problems and have to wear Sigvaris compression stockings. Not to bad in the winter but purgotary in the summer. It feels like your legs from the knee down to toe are encased in a vice. Small price to pay though (I suppose).

How lovely to see you back Bob! You have been missed so much!

The machine sounds the very thing for your circulation problem. Gosh, it is many a long year since I heard the expression 'tinker's tartan'. Remember all these ladies with the distinctive evidence of their winter sitting in front of the coal fire! Brought back memories!

Hi Bob

Good to see you posting on here again Smile

Hope the gizmo does you loads of good.

I was interested in what you say, because I've had blotches on my lower leg that the doctor can't explain. I don't think it's the varicose eczema you mention because it comes and goes, but I'm going to check it out anyway.....
